Jaw crusher has a poor working condition, and improper operation will cause accidence. Practice shows that strict machines operation will ensure machine have a normal operation and a higher production capacity. Different structure and type jaw machines will have different operation rules but same principle. In the following, we will introduce you some basic operation methods of medium jaw crusher.

1. Preparation work

a. Check machine’s main spare parts of losing condition, belt condition, and crashing and obstacle condition of driving member.

b. Check auxiliary machines of mining machine, v-belt conveyor, electric machines, and signal equipment.

c. Ensure non-foreign materials in crushing chamber.

d. Some crusher motor capacity cannot meet crusher needs so that you can change flywheel with crane to make connecting rod boot in proper condition.

e. Check oil volume before booting.

f. Open cold water valve of eccentric bearing.

g. Send the signal after getting prepared and open machine with agreement.

2. Attention in opening and operating machine

a. Machine can have a normal operation with a period working. Also you should control ammeter for which will decrease into a normal current with 30-40s high number.

b. Open mining feeder after having a normal crusher operation. Mining quantity can be controlled or adjusted with mining size and crusher operation condition for average and suitable mining feeding and loading. Normally, materials of crusher chamber should beyond 2/3 crusher chamber height.

c. Pay attention to mining material clogging condition in operation. If there is clogging condition, flip and exclude material with iron hook or stop feeding if there is serious clogging condition. Please do not take out material by hand.

d. Prevent steel and other foreign materials from getting into crusher. If there are these conditions, please inform operators.

e. Find the trip causes before opening.

f. Check lubrication and temperature of bearing parts. And stop and check machine, if there is abnormal machine noise.

3. Attention of machine shutdown

a. Orderly stop machines of mining machines and then crusher and conveyors. Also you should stop machine after wholly crushing materials in chamber.

b. Stop adding oil after stopping crusher. And release cold water in winter in case of freezing and breaking bearing parts.

c. Check and clean machine after stopping machine.
