The product size becomes coarser or finer and does not meet the set discharge size range. For example, in the fine type setting, the discharge size exceeds the range of 3 - 6mm.
This is a common cause of coarser product size. The wear of the crushing wall and concave can be diagnosed by regularly checking their wear conditions. If obvious wear marks are found on their surfaces and the wear amount is large, such as the crushing edge of the crushing wall becoming rounded and the depression of the concave deepening, it may affect the crushing effect and make the product size coarser.
An unexpected increase or decrease in the discharge port size will directly affect the product size. A special measuring tool such as a caliper or a feeler gauge can be used to measure the actual size of the discharge port and check whether it matches the set value. If the discharge port size becomes larger, the product size will be coarser; otherwise, it will be finer.
When there are too many large pieces of material or an abnormal proportion of small pieces in the feed, it will also affect the product size. Observe the feed situation and check whether the feed device is working normally, such as whether the speed of the belt conveyor is stable and whether there is blockage or uneven discharge in the feed hopper.
The crusher exhibits obvious vibration during operation, exceeding the normal vibration range and may be accompanied by abnormal noise.
Check whether the various connecting components of the crusher, such as the foundation bolts, the connecting bolts between the main frame and other components, are loose. It can be judged by observing whether the fastening marks of the bolts have shifted or by using a wrench to check the fastening degree of the bolts. If loose bolts are found, they should be tightened in time.
The wear of the eccentric sleeve will cause the movement track of the moving cone to be abnormal, resulting in vibration. Check the wear marks of the eccentric sleeve, such as whether there is uneven wear, cracks or spalling on the surface. The clearance of the eccentric sleeve can also be checked. If the clearance is too large, it may also be the cause of vibration.
The loose liner will generate unbalanced force during the crushing process and cause vibration. The looseness of the liner can be judged by tapping the liner and listening to the sound; or by checking whether the fixing bolts of the liner are loose and whether there is a gap between the liner and the cone.
