Shanghai River Sand Price Rises by Three Times
Currently the majority of fine aggregates and sand used in Shanghai is extracted from river or lake of middle and down steam of Yangtze River. According to Shanghai Aggregates Association, river sand price of shanghai in 2015 was around 34 RMB/Ton, but the price went up to around 50 RMB/Ton in March and April of 2016.
In February 2017, Shanghai river sand price was around 65 RMB/Ton, and according to latest quotation from the market, it went all the way up to 90 RMB/Ton on 13rd March, which was nearly 3 times higher than that of 2015.
The rising price reflects the lack of sand supply. In many regions of China, it is forbidden to extract river and lake sand during closed fishing season, and since March to the end of June half China has declared to close fishing season: Yangtze River, Huaihe River, Xijiang River and Minjiang River.
Pleasant weather in spring has facilitated the smooth operation of many construction projects across China; in the meantime the aggregates supply is in short supply, which drives sand price up high. Many people now consider using manufactured sand from rock instead of natural sand, which is a good opportunity for the producer of mining equipment.
As a professional manufacturer of mining equipment, especially the crushing and screening machine for over 30 years, Dingli will continue its commitment to offer reliable and green products for China’s crushed sand industry.
