Each type of crusher specifies its feed size. The material beyond limited feed size will inevitably cause abrasion or damage to the crusher. Therefore, it is necessary to control the feed size so as to prolong the service life of crushing equipment.

The stuck material will reduce production efficiency of crusher; moreover, in case of material clogging, the hammers in the crushing equipment do not stop moving. Under such circumstance, there is less chance for the crushing hammers and rollers to contact material, resulting in serious abrasion of equipment due to mutual conflict of wear parts. The material with excessively large particle size will cause more failures of crusher in the operation process. Besides, it will reduce half service life of spare parts.
