It is important to carry out regular repair and maintenance for jaw crushers.

I. Lubrication

1. Frequently lubricate the frication surface so as to ensure normal operation of equipment and its service life.

2. The lubricating grease to jaw crusher should be selected based on the site location and temperature. Normally calcium, sodium orc calcium grease is adopted for lubrication.

3. The lubricating grease added in the bearing seat shall be 50% of its space volume and replaced every 3 to 6 months. Before replacement of oil, the raceway shall be washed by clean gasoline or kerosene.

4. Prior to operation of jaw crusher, appropriate amount of lubricating shall be poured between thrust and its support.

II. Repair

In addition to correct operation, the normal operation of jaw crusher also requires scheduled repair as follows:

1. Minor repair mainly includes check & fix adjustment device, adjust gap of discharge port, head back or replace the worn lining plate. Check driving device and lubricant system and timely replace lubricating oil. The cycle for such minor repair is every 1 to 3 months.

2. Medium repair includes change thrust plate, lining plate; check and fix axle bush. The cycle for medium repair is every 1 to 2 years.

3. Apart from turnery eccentric shaft and jaw shaft, you should cast Babbit on the top of crank end, change or repair certain wear parts. The overhaul cycle is generally 5 years.
