With China’s development of infrastructure construction, a huge quantity of building materials is required. Against such backdrop, more and more gravel aggregates production lines have been produced to produce gravel aggregates with limestone as main raw material. The crushed limestone has a wide range of applications, especially in the building construction.

      Based on difference of grain size, the gravel aggregates are divided into coarse and fine type. The coarse aggregates generally have the size over 4.75mm. Apart from fineness, the aggregates may differ in the aspects of mud content and crushing index. As loose particle material, aggregate serves as support for the buildings. Those with high hardness are applied for road pavement.

      The gravel aggregates may also be applied for concrete preparation. It will reduce production cost, transmit load and lower shrinkage of concrete as necessary raw material.

 

Fine Gravel Aggregates

     Only the aggregates with uniform grain shape can better match the requirements of concrete production. Since the content of mud, clay and other impurities directly affect the workability, antifreeze and anti-erosion of the concrete.

      In the road or high-speed railway construction, it is far from enough to adopt one type of aggregates. The graded aggregates with various sizes are mixed together so as to meet the specific requirements.

      The graded gravel aggregates are generally used for pavement of asphalt, cement or concrete roads. It is quite necessary to mix aggregates with other raw materials such as asphalt in order to construct high-quality road or railway.
