China’s quarry industry is in a process of fast development. More and more people begin to make investment in such an industry. However, the serious personal accidents often occur due to improper exploration of quarry. So we should always put safety first.

In quarry operation, the landslide out of improper exploration may easily cause serious accidents. In the following, we will mainly talk about how to avoid such disaster.

1. Do not randomly excavate mountain foot

Mountain foot and the place near buildings shall not be randomly excavated in the quarry. If it is necessary, arrange technician to carry out site survey or follow professional guidance to proceed construction. After excavation of slope foot, a retaining wall is required for maintaining stability of slope. A drainage hole should also be designed for outflow of rainwater. Please note to set a filter layer in the inner part of drainage hole so as to avoid its blocking and maintain smooth outflow of water.

2. Do not stack stone on the slope

The waste stone and soil produced in the operation and processing of quarry shall not be randomly piled up, especially on the upper slope of house buildings. Otherwise, it may easily cause accident. If a lot of waste materials have been produced, they can be stacked in a special place for further recycling.

3. Take measures to drain off water

Water may easily cause landslide. It is very important to drain off rainwater and living water so as to avoid landslide accidents due to unstable mountain structure.
