I. Construction Waste Introduction

Construction waste is mainly generated during the construction of various projects, and it is made up of surplus materials from site clearance, excavation, construction, refurbishment, renovation, demolition and road construction. Generally speaking, construction waste can be divided into two types, that is, inert construction waste and non-inert construction waste. Non-inert construction waste, which accounts for around 20% of the total construction waste, is mainly composed of bamboo, timber, vegetation, packaging waste and other organic materials, etc. Some of these materials can be recycled while others are disposed of at landfills.
